the article talks about percentage of vulnerabilities fixed, not about the severity or how many.
Premise is true however, that Apple has a poor record of patching!

As you might expect, the main topic for discussion this week was the launch of the updated MacBook and MacBook Pros, with one of the crew becoming an early adopter (twice over!). Here are links to several of the items we discussed:
